Blues master Tim Williams returns to Kelowna in an intimate house concert presented by the Lantern Folk Roots Society.
Since his teenage years in Southern California, Tim Williams has risen steadily to the upper ranks of acoustic roots and blues performers through a combination of vocal, guitar and songwriting skills. Learning at the feet of the masters (opening for and jamming with Lightening Hopkins, Mississippi Fred McDowell, Big Walter Horton, Honeyboy Edwards, Johnny Shines and more).
Tim Williams, a true virtuoso of the blues, is renowned for his mastery of multiple instruments, including the guitar, harmonica, and vocals which are both powerful and heartfelt. With a career spanning over five decades, he has wowed audiences worldwide with his authentic and emotionally charged performances.
The Calgary Bluesman's live performances are a journey through the rich tapestry of blues music, taking listeners on a ride from Delta blues to Chicago blues, and everything in between. His soulful voice and remarkable instrumental skills are a testament to his dedication to preserving and evolving the blues tradition.
