Event:

Cyber Security Awareness Workshop

Date:

Thu, Oct 14th, 2021

Time:

2:30 pm to 3:30 pm

Description:

Online security breaches are more common, and dangerous, than you think. Cybersecurity consultant Garland Sharratt will be delivering two seminars on how to keep you and your business cyber safe.

The first session will cover the simplest and most effective measures to keep yourself cyber safe: password management and multi-factor authentication. The second session will cover more advanced measures including information backup, phone security and more. Whether you’re an individual, an organization or small business, you won’t want to miss this.

Garland Sharratt was Security Architect and GRC Specialist at Hootsuite in Vancouver until he (very happily) moved in 2018 to Kelowna, where he is now a consultant in cybersecurity / information security and resilience.

You can attend this program virtually or in-person at the Downtown Kelowna branch of the ORL. REGISTRATION REQUIRED; registration will sign you up for both events. Mr Sharratt will be broadcasting his presentation; in-branch attendance will simply be a viewing of that broadcast on a projector.
