MONTROSE TRIO
Jon Kimura Parker, piano

Formed in 2013, the Montrose Trio is a collaboration stemming from a long relationship between pianist Jon Kimura Parker and the Tokyo String Quartet. Mr. Parker joined two long-time members of the Tokyo String Quartet, violinist Martin Beaver and cellist Clive Greensmith, to form the Montrose Trio. These three artists are all extraordinary soloists as well as chamber musicians and professors. They perform regularly as soloists with major orchestras in North America and Europe. Jon Kimura Parker is on faculty at Rice University, and is the Artistic Director of the Honens International Piano Competition. Martin Beaver was the founding member of the Toronto String Quartet and Triskelion and is on faculty at the Colburn School in Los Angeles. Clive Greensmith was Principal Cellist of London’s Philharmonic Orchestra and is on faculty at the Colburn School. The Montrose Trio has performed on major series in New York, Baltimore, Seattle, Buffalo, Cleveland, Vancouver, Philadelphia, Chicago, Hong Kong and more.
