“We are human first, then we are musicians”
Liz Carroll (fiddle) and Alanna Hunter (cello) were instant friends when they met five years ago at Brandon University School of Music and are amazed at how much they’ve grown together through all their amazing experiences and adventures.
Their musical journey together began a few years ago when they travelled to Alanna’s hometown in Richmond as part of the VIA Rail musician program; enjoying the many hours spent playing for passengers on the train.
Their music grew even more last year when they met their 'guardian angel' Blaine Klippenstein, who gave them the time and space in his Artist Sanctuary to keep developing themselves and their music. They feel his help and encouragement is the reason why they have their duo, Abby-Jade.
“Our musical gifts are to be shared and the thing that brings us the most joy is the opportunity to share music with you”. Liz Carroll
