The Black Cat 10 Minute Play Competition is back for a sexy sixth year. New Vintage Theatre invites playwrights to submit their original plays for this year’s event which will be held in Feb. 2019.
Four finalists will be selected and will go into production. At the event audiences will vote on their favourite over the two days with the winner being awarded $300 and the coveted Black Cat Cup.🏆
Rules
1. Works must be original and must not have already been performed elsewhere.
2. Authors must currently reside in the B.C. Interior (Okanagan, Thompson-Nicola) and be 16 years of age or older.
3. Works must run 10 minutes or less and be suited to a simple stage, cabaret style performance.
4. Scripts must not have any identifying name or indicate authorship on the work so that judging panel can rank fairly.
5. Submissions must be accompanied by a payment of $10. Playwrights can submit more than one script.
6. Selected playwrights will be encouraged to attend the event.
7. Submissions must be in before 11:59 on October 31.
