2018 Kelowna Walk for Als
Date:Sun, Jun 10th, 2018
We are happy to bring the WALK for ALS back to Kelowna for 2018!
Featuring the Zamboni Brothers this will be a fun filled day for the entire family! The approximately 5k Walk begins at Waterfront Park by the Dolphins Statue and will follow the lake path to the bridge and return. Walk all or part or just come enjoy some music by the lake in support of ALS patients and research.
The WALK for ALS is the largest volunteer led fundraiser for ALS across the country. The WALK for ALS is about local communities coming together to raise funds and celebrate hope for a future without ALS. Funds received support the ALS Society's vision: supporting Canadians living with ALS and investing in research to make ALS a treatable, not terminal disease.
There are about 400 patients in British Columbia living with ALS at any given time. Your participation and donations help to improve their quality of life as well as giving hope for a cure.
Please visit http://events.alsbc.ca/site/TR?fr_id=1160&pg=entry to register and start raising funds for this truly worthwhile cause.
