Event:

Jay Ingram - Alzheimer's in the 21st Century - Kelowna

Date:

Tue, Mar 20th, 2018

Time:

7:00 pm

Description:

Alzheimer's in the 21st Century 2017 may have marked the middle of a turning point in dealing with Alzheimer's disease.

Not so much by the arrival of dramatic new treatments - that is still likely to take a few years - but instead by continuing to encourage all of us to take steps to reduce our risk of the disease. There are hints that such steps might already be having an effect.

In this talk, Jay Ingram will answer the three questions that everyone has about Alzheimer's disease:
Will I get it?
What can I do to reduce my chances of getting it?
If I do get it, what happens then?

Proudly sponsored by AGF Investments Inc. and Interior Savings Credit Union, this event is an extension of the 5th Annual Okanagan Embrace Aging month; a partnership between UBC's Institute for Healthy Living and Chronic Disease Prevention, Interior Savings Credit Union, and Interior Health
