Inspired Word Cafe presents our monthly Open Mic/Open Slam event.
This event is open to all ages, all experience levels, and all types of people! The format is as follows:
Open Mic
There are 8 open mic spots per night. Show up early to get your name on the list.
Doors open and sign up starts at 6:30pm. Open mic spots are
3-5 minutes in length. We welcome musicians, poets, dancers, beatboxers, storytellers, and more.
No hate speech or discrimination.
Open Slam
There are 12 spots for the open slam. Each poet brings two poems, plus a one minute tie breaker in case of a tie.
Poets perform in the first round, with the top six poets moving on to the second round. The scores from round two are combined with the scores from round one for a cumulative total score.

Cash prizes for first, second, and third place.
This venue is wheelchair and hearing impaired accessible.
