Michael Huber plays at Wine & Art at 8:00 pm - no cover.
Michael Huber is a singer/songwriter who creates melodic and passionate music from his life experiences and draws inspiration from politics, spirituality and love as well as folk, rock, jazz and world music.
He lives in Kelowna, BC where he plays as part of a group called The Mindfold Music Collective. Michael brings his original music to this group and allows each artists’ talent and ingenuity to further shape each song.
Michael recently won the Okanagan Songwriters’ Competition, competing against 10 other excellent songwriters at the annual Creekside Theatre event. As a result, he will be playing over 10 concerts during summer 2017 as well as recording a professional EP. The two songs Michael played for the win were his originals, “Sunlight Somewhere” and “Fly”. Sunlight Somewhere is a romantic, fingerpicked ode to a wonderful love lost while Fly is a funky political protest discussing a range of issues from the resurgence of plant medicine ceremonies in North America to the lack of insight from North American main stream media.
