While it’s true that we need to care for the earth every day, the international celebration of Earth Day can call us to join with others and take action in our own lives, in our communities, and even globally, to lighten our eco-footprint and make change happen.
Not feeling inspired? The Okanagan Heritage Museum invites you to celebrate Earth Day at the Grand Opening for their new Biodiversity Gallery, Sat, Apr 22nd, 11am to 3pm, at 470 Queensway. Explore this new interactive exhibit while enjoying special guest speakers, refreshments, and hands-on activities for the whole family!
Or, why not host a potluck dinner for family/friends, where guests are invited to make a simple, personal pledge to the earth? Voicing our commitments to others (and making it fun!) can be a great motivating force for change!
